Pravin Darji, is an Indian scholar and writer of Gujarati literature. The Government of India honored Darji in 2011, with the fourth highest civilian award of Padma Shri. ==Biography== Pravin Darji was born on 23 August 1944 in Panchmahal district of Gujarat, India.〔 He completed his schooling in 1961 and graduated in Gujarati and Sanskrit (BA) in 1965. He passed MA in 1967 and did doctoral studies to obtain PhD in 1973.〔〔 After joining BA College in Modasa in 1965, he moved to Ta Lunavada College in 1967 from where he retired as a Professor.〔〔〔 Darji's first book was "Whooping", an anthology published in 1973.〔 This was followed by several books and is credited with 113 books.〔 ''Vibrations'' (1976), ''Carvana'' (1976), ''Dayarama'' (1978) and ''Pratyagra'' (1978) are some of his known works.〔〔 Pravin Darji is married to Ramila and the couple has two daughters and a son.〔
